Built By Kidz Activities is the brainchild of husband and wife team, Raymond and Josephine. Raymond is a licensed builder and carpenter who has been honing his craft for over 25 years, and together they are passionate about teaching valuable, practical skills to the next generation. Our aim is to provide a fun, safe setting for children to gain basic carpentry knowledge, refine motor skills, practise problem-solving, and explore their creativity, through kids DIY woodwork activities.

Being parents to three daughters, when we started our business they were all of primary school age, and we tested our DIY woodworking projects with them. They had so much fun and loved the building experience, so knowing our kids loved them, we knew our projects would resonate with other kids as well.

We believe learning should be fun, and have crafted our packages to do just that! We are an online business with both an online store and service for vacation and after school care centres.

Covid-19 forced us to pivot our business to provide our DIY activities online, and with Australia wide shipping, we have been able to share our projects with more families, across the country, in both metro and rural areas. After so many years of experience teaching kids woodwork in Sydney, we knew our DIY activities would resonate with other cities across Australia. With easy to facilitate activities for parents and carers, and endless positive feedback, we have grown our online business to span not just Woodwork, but Craft and STEM interests as well. We manage the business from our headquarters in Sydney, overseeing each order ourselves, to ensure quality of service and products.

Being eco-friendly and sustainable is always front of mind. We provide quality activities designed to last for years to come, rather than ending up in the bin before you know it. Our woodworking kits are made in Australia, by us, using good quality wood for a real carpentry experience. We source other great quality activities for variety within vacation care programs.

Our mission, as a proud Australian owned family business, has always been to empower the every day parent, and assist vacation care centre staff, to facilitate their after school activities and holiday programs, and to excel in providing a good old fashioned customer experience. We want kids to get off their devices, go back to basics, and gain skills through building and stem activities. We aim to provide a fun and meaningful childhood experience where memories are made.

We ordered the Toolbox Activity and Volcano Kit for my son during the school holidays. Wow! These projects kept him entertained for hours. He had so much fun hammering his box together, and the volcano kit was such an exciting science experiment.
